Curry powder recipe:

Ingredients:2 tbsp whole dhania seeds
2 tsp raw yellow gram without skin (daria)
2 tsp raw groundnuts, 1 tsp jeera
½ tsp khaskhas (poppy seeds)
½  tsp white til and 2 tsp broken cashew nuts.

Roast all the above ingredients on low flame for few minutes cool and grind into fine powder.

Ingredients:
2 cups prawns devained, washed and Marinated in 1 tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp haldi
salt to taste
1 tsp sambhar powder
1 tsp green chillies ginger paste.
4 to 5 red whole kashmiri chilies
Few curry leaves
Small piece of coconut fresh preferably.
5 big tomatoes
1 medium onion
5 to 6 flakes garlic

Method: grind the coconut pieces nicely then add cut tomatoes, red chilies, cut onion , garlic and a few curry leaves grind to a fine paste. Now in a saucepan take 1 tbsp oil and put the marinated prawns fry for few minutes over low flame then put the curry powder and fry for few minutes last put the wet ground masala  and cook till oil separates and is seen over the top add 1 cup of water and cook till the prawns are done.

Eat with rice with lemon squeezed over it.

Serves 5 to 6

Same method can be used for chicken or mutton with the exception of ginger garlic paste for the marination. For vegetarians use pumpkins, brinjals, potatoes , cauliflower pieces etc.
